Whenever I am hurting,
Down deep inside,
I feel Mother's arms around me,
And need no place to hide.
I know her love is there,
Waiting just for me.
With Mother's arms around me
I'm as happy as I can be.
It makes no difference to her
Whether I'm big or small,

When I think of love,

THE THRESHOLD

The pangs of loneliness gnawed voraciously at my well being.
My mental agility had succumbed to listlessness.
The emptiness that surrounded me seemed to dwarf the vastness of the universe.
The sound of my labored breathing and the thunderous report of my heart, filled each minuscule cavity of my body and mind.
The simpicity of life had escaped the realm of all reality.
Sanity had eluded to a surrealistic potpourri and I sensed the time was at hand.
The time had come to cross that long anticipated threshold between sanity and that which is ludicrous.

thou hast smitten me
as the frost doth the leaves.
Thou hast taken my unnurtured heart
and brought it too bloom.
Thou hast widened my eyes
as the sun shines at noon.
Thou has broadened my smile
like the crown of an oak.
Thou hast lightened my steps
like a cloud under foot.
Oh love,
why hast thou evoked such a rapture
in my bowells?
Why hast thou made me vulnerable,
like a duck on a pond?
I know love,
wherever thou takest me,
I will welcome you.
I will embrace you

Send to me, someone to hold.
One I can cherish, as I would Gold.
Someone to love me, when I am sad.
One to share, the good times and bad.
Someone who sees me, as only me.
One who is warm, as they can be.
Someone who will take, from me this pain.
One who brings the sun, during a rain.
Someone whose smile, will melt my heart.
One not afraid, of a new life to start.
Someone who will be, only mine.
One whose skin, is silky and fine.
Someone with compassion and passionate too.
One who will cheer me, when I'm feeling blue.

IT IS I
I, a wretched lost soul,
cried out to God, to make me whole.
I wept and wailed, full of hurt inside.
I ran and I ran, but could not hide.
I cried out God, How do I know if you're real?
How can there be a God, for the way that I feel?
Then a voice spoke to me, from where, I don't know.
Look around you my son, and I surely will show ....
To you all the wonders, that no man can make.
I did all of this for you to partake.
I opened my eyes, for the first time in years.
I saw God there, through the anguish and tears.
I saw Him in the trees. I saw Him in the sky.
I heard His voice proclaim, It is I, It is I, It is I.
Then I praised the Lord, for showing me the way.
I praised Him every minute, each and every day.
I climbed the highest mountain, to see what I could see.
I looked down in the valley, and saw there only me.
I asked the Lord's forgiveness, to please show me the way.
He showed me what I should see, each and every day.
Now I see Him in the trees, I see Him in the sky.
I hear His voice proclaim, It is I, It is I, It is I.
